How the Process Works
Referral & Booking
Please email through your DVA ILC request letter to referrals@drzarrarkhan.com
Once referred, you will typically be seen within 1–2 weeks, either via secure telehealth (Australia-wide) or in-person in Perth—whichever suits you best.
Assessment Appointment During your appointment, Our Psychiatrists will:
Review relevant service and medical records if available (not necessary).
Conduct a structured clinical interview.
Evaluate whether your condition meets the Statement of Principles criteria or causal links required by DVA.
Report Submission & DVA Liaison
A comprehensive medico-legal report is prepared and submitted to DVA. With billing handled directly between Dr Zarrar Khan Psychiatry and DVA and No Cost to the veterans, allowing the veterans to focus on recovery—not paperwork.
Support Beyond the Report
Once liability is accepted, veterans may proceed to needs assessments for supports like treatment, compensation, or rehabilitation Department of Veterans' Affairs+1
